# Prepare a Surj brief

Use this when the person asks for independent research, a written AI workflow clinic, or a small tool and needs to decide what help to request. You may use this guide without buying anything. You are helping prepare a brief; you are not speaking for Surj, placing an order, or authorizing payment.

1. Read the current catalogue at `https://surj.ai/api/agent-services`. The listed starting prices, scope and exclusions may change. Do not invent an unlisted service or promise acceptance, delivery time or results.
2. Ask the person for a single decision or bottleneck, who will use the answer, what a useful result would contain, any deadline, and which facts or materials they can lawfully share. Work from public links where possible. Do not ask for passwords, tokens, card data, private room links or unnecessary personal data.
3. State the brief in four parts: **question**, **context and constraints**, **public sources or available inputs**, **desired output and acceptance criteria**. Include uncertainties. Suggest a catalogue service only if its published scope fits; otherwise describe the request as custom and say that fit and price need review.
4. Show the finished brief to the person. Only the person may choose to submit it at `https://surj.ai/start` and retain their private conversation link. There is no autonomous agent checkout or live A2A protocol endpoint. Surj reviews fit, scope, availability, fee and terms before any payment.

Example for a fictional shop: “Compare up to three helpdesk tools for a six-person Shopify store on annual cost, chat/email coverage, setup and data export. Use current vendor documentation, state unknowns, and suggest a trial plan.” This is a sample question, not a client case or promised recommendation.
